How it Works!
Track 4 - September 16th thru September 27th
Tracks 1,2,3 - October 1st thru October 11th
Step 1: Students, set your reading goal!
Students, talk with your parents and teachers to set a realistic goal for your daily reading. This reading goal represents the number of 10 minutes blocks you are committing to read per day for seven days. The days don't have to be in a row, just make sure you get your reading logs done before the deadline. For our younger readers, having a book read to you will also count towards your goal.
Step 2: Collect pledges that support your reading goal.
Talk to your parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and neighbors for flat rate pledges to show their support of your reading goals. Flat rate pledges are not based on how much you actually read, but just a flat amount for them to show their support and help raise money for your school. You can even have your parents share a link to this website on Facebook to help people submit their pledges online!
Step 3: Read, read, and read some more!
Now it's time to reach or exceed your goal! The only way to do that is to find a good book and READ!
The more that you read,
the more that you'll know.
The more that you learn,
the more places you'll go.
Step 4: Submit your reading log and pledges before the due date.
Get your Pledge Money and Reading Logs turned in before the due date for your track. You don't have to wait until the end to turn in your forms, its even better if you turn them in as you go!
